Code It Challenge!
Morse code is used to send information using a rhythm of dots and dashes. Though this type of communication isn’t used as much today (thanks, smartphones!), it is sometimes used by wildlife experts in areas with less reception when emergency help is needed.
Want to create your own Morse code system? All you need is a paper and pencil.
Start by creating a Morse code legend for each letter of the alphabet using the guide below:
Now, based on the legend, create a code! Write out a message using the legend you wrote out. After you’re finished, challenge a family member to decode your message! (Just make sure you give them the legend to look at for reference).
